ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTION


  • Administer current procurement policies, procedures, and guidelines by adopting a comprehensive disclosure to eliminate non-compliance practices to observe good corporate governance.
  • Responsible for all activities relating to Tender Management (CAPEX) Unit in particular any special projects to be identified,
  • Assist the Manager and Senior Executives: - 
  • To prepare tender documents upon receipt of project particulars and information from Budget Owners or Project Owners or Project Management Office etc.
  • Review, check and comment/feedback where applicable on all the technical documents or commercial documents prepared by Budget Owners or Project Owners or Project Management Office or the Consultants.
  • Assist in tender commercial evaluation and preparation of Approval Papers/Evaluation Reports.


Key Challenges

  • Able to meet tight deadlines and effectively handle short-notice tasks
  • Incomplete and insufficient information submission from Project Owner/Budget Owner
  • Last minute RFS submission
  • Ensuring tendering period within cycle time
  • Comfortable working under pressure, including extended hours and during off days, to complete urgent tasks
  • Managing tenders for combination of CAPEX & OPEX projects (multiple tender alternatives/mix between Outright Purchase, Maintenance & Leasing Options)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. 
  • Strong understanding of tender management and extra knowledge for contract administration, project management and construction management.

Relevant Industries

  • Bachelor’s degree holder in Quantity Surveying with a minimum of 4 years of experience in QS Consultancy/Construction Contract Management, Tender Documentation processes, and related fields. 
  • Minimum CGPA of 3.50 and above


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related disciplines
